Hey guys,
I haven't been using binkd for very long here, but am learning as I go. I just
stumbled on a little issue I'm having and was wondering if there's something
I'm doing wrong, or maybe it's a possible bug.
I'll try to keep things short and sweet, but still provide enough
information.
domain fidonet /sbbs/ftn/fido/outbound 1
domain battlnet /sbbs/ftn/fido/outbound 169
domain micronet /sbbs/ftn/fido/outbound 618
I have my domains setup like so, which uses hex outbound directories. So in my
node lines I have:
node 1:120/***@fidonet -md <uplink_address> <password>
node 169:1/***@battlnet -md <uplink_address> <password> c
/sbbs/ftn/fido/outbound.0a9
node 618:200/***@micronet -md <uplink_address> <password> c
/sbbs/ftn/fido/outbound.26a
Now, if I understand correctly, when sending netmail with my fidonet address
(and the original outbound directory) my BBS software (Synchronet) creates an
*.out file which binkd changes to a *.pkt upon sending to my uplink. So
everything is working correctly here.
Now when I try to send a netmail using any one of my other AKAs that use the
hex outbound directories, the *.out file is created, but upon sending to my
uplink binkd does NOT change it to a *.pkt file. This was found out by an
uplink of mine that had to rename it manually, which it then imported into
their system fine after that.
Am I doing something totally wrong here?
Take care,
Nick
