Hello everybody.

I have connections to a few othernets, and they all get @fidonet appended to
their AKA's when using the following configaration ...

domain fidonet /opt/mbse/var/bso/outbound 5
domain linuxnet /opt/mbse/var/bso/linuxnet 110
domain fmlynet /opt/mbse/var/bso/familynet 8
domain ilink /opt/mbse/var/bso/ilink 454

# Aliases to support known wrong 5D configurations
domain fido alias-for fidonet
domain fidorus alias-for fidonet
domain fido7 alias-for fidonet
domain fmlynet alias-for familynet
domain lnxnet alias-for linuxnet
domain ilink.org alias-for ilink

# Aliases to support known DNS domain zones
# (some people is mix up the terms "FTN domain" and "DNS internet domain")
domain fidonet.org alias-for fidonet
domain fidonet.net alias-for fidonet

# address 2:5047/***@fidonet 2:5020/***@fidonet

address 5:7105/***@fidonet
address 5:7105/***@fidonet
address 110:60/***@linuxnet
address 110:60/***@linuxnet
address 8:7905/***@fmlynet
address 8:7905/***@fmlynet
address 454:1/***@ilink

Nodes are specified in the following fashion toward end of binkd.cfg

node 1:14/1 nwstar.tzo.com; password i

Can someone please refresh my ailing memory on how this is done ...

Thanks,

Russell

I see that Andrew pointed you in the right direction; is everything
working
again?

Polling me at present, with the loss of my Internet serve/firewall/gateway
box, is not a possibility ... , unless I figure out how to do port forwarding
with my ADSL router ... , need to identify it first, think it might be a
rebranded Billion 5102G, but not sure ...

Again, not sure, but will check it, as soon as I have an opportunity ... , now
that mail is flowing again, i.e. BinkD is working, I should have some time to
spend on it now ...

I had considered this, and discarded it, <sigh>

Many thanks ...

Only bugbear now left is;

Cannot find domain for zone 1, assuming 'fidonet'

Then all would be perfect ... , but it is not fatal, cosmetic only ...

Once again many thanks,

Somewhere you have a zone 1 address in your config without a domain specified.
Find it and add @fidonet to the end of it. Then that message should go away.
