why? this is exactly what QOS is designed for...

while true, i still use QOS on my perimeter firewall to enable important
traffic higher bandwidth than less important traffic... even that which has its
own bandwidth limiting capabilities...

To each his own. BinkD can and should be smart enough to manage its own
bandwidth usage without necessitating QOS. It should "just work", period.

I already solved the problem shortly afterwards without QOS so its a moot
point now.
